5 Areas where a Mirror should be placed (correctly).

According to Feng Shui, mirrors can double your wealth, health and even your happiness, but only if it is placed and reflecting in the correct area. If it is reflecting incorrect energies, then it can do harm. Let’s take a look at what your mirror should NOT be reflecting:

      • Clutter
      • Another Mirror
      • Dirtiness
      • Flames coming from the stove
      • The toilet seat
      • A bed
      • A door or window (or both)

Let's take a look at some possible areas where you can place a mirror and bring auspiciousness:

      A mirror in the Kitchen

What? A mirror in the kitchen??

Well, it is usually best to keep mirrors out of the kitchen, especially because mirrors symbolize water and the kitchen has a lot of the Fire element. Water destroys the fire energy being generated here. Some consultants recommend a mirror to be placed behind the stove, for a cook to be able to view anything happening behind their backs. If you do not cook with your back facing a door, then there should be no problem.

      A Mirror in the bathroom

To prevent energy from going down the drain, affix mirrors on top of the drains. This way, the mirror prevents any wealth energy to go down the drain, which literally means LOST. Anything that goes down the drain in life or in Feng Shui is something that is long gone. We don't want that, right?

In order to fix this issues, you can affix small round mirrors above the shower drain and the sink, it's easy!

The Feng Shui mirror cures for bathrooms are a great way to prevent from losing money energy at home. Another quick way to do this, is to place several Amethyst or Quartz pebbles in order to cover the shower or sink drain.

      A mirror in the Bedroom

Sometimes the reason why you’re not getting any sleep might be that mirror you have in your bedroom, yes! Mirrors create a constant bouncing of energies, very similar to a constant movement. The best object to have in front of your bed, are calming images, art or plaques.

Avoid mirrors next to your bed. If your mirror is facing you when sleeping, this attracts a third person to your relationship. (Remember, anything that a mirror reflects, it will double that.)

Everyone wants to take a look a themselves before heading out, but if you have a mirror that can be moved, place it in your closet, this way no energies are bouncing around in the bedroom.

If there is no way you can remove the mirror, then your best solution is to place something in between the bed and the mirror. If the mirror is above furniture, then you can place Feng Shui plants, or a bowl of crystals to cut through the energy bounce.

      A mirror in the Entrance:

You've most probably heard about the infamous Bagua Mirror. If you haven't here's a quick breakdown:

These special Feng Shui mirrors,  negative energy incoming into your home and protect the occupants from it. These negative vibrations can be brought in from:

*Situations in the work place which we bring back to our homes.

      *Negative neighbors or visitors.

*"Poison arrows", these are negative "points" that are facing our homes or entrances, such as a very loud construction out front, a busy parking lot or shopping center, pointed arquitecture, high towers, etc.

This eight sided symbol is very beneficial since its power comes from the trigrams which are arranged on each side of the eight sides. These should be placed on the top of your main entrance's door frame.

A mirror in the living room.

This is the best area for a mirror to be strategically placed.

Fun fact: If your mirror is reflecting food then this will attract abundance and prosperity.

However, watch out for mirrors reflecting an entrance or window, if this happens, it means that energy is escaping, this is not good.

You can also display the mirror in a way that it may reflect any house plants, fountains, a very nice furniture arrangement, etc. A mirror correctly placed will double the auspiciousness in your home!

You see? There is always a solution for everything! With just a little bit of will power and some inspiration, you can apply quick Feng Shui fixes to make your home more positive and auspicious.
