AUGUST HUNGRY GHOST MONTH

The Hungry Ghost Month is all about wandering souls. Every year, during the seventh lunar month, the gates of the hell are open to let wandering spirits roaming the streets. Hungry, discontented spirits wander the world during this month looking for houses and places to thrive. During this month, the yin energy prevails over yang causing an excess of yin energy thus making an attractive place for ghosts to convene. People and houses with low chi energy are more susceptible to attract these entities for what is recommended to take extra caution. Place protection symbols at the entrance or near the entrance and burn incense at night during this month. Wear protection symbols and avoid staying outside at night.
